Shipping policy
Good Habit™ — Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Good Habit, we aim to make your shopping experience as simple and reliable as possible. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped and delivered within South Africa.
1. Delivery Timeframe
Good Habit currently aims to deliver orders within 8–11 business days from the date the order has been processed and handed to our courier.
Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays.
The estimated delivery timeframe is an estimate and may vary depending on the delivery location, courier operations, public holidays, weather, unforeseen events and other circumstances outside Good Habit’s reasonable control.
2. Courier Partner
Orders are shipped using Aramex or an applicable Aramex delivery service.
Once your order has been handed to Aramex, the parcel is transported and delivered through Aramex's courier network.
You will receive applicable tracking information once your order has been dispatched and tracking becomes available.
3. Courier Delays
Good Habit works with Aramex to facilitate delivery of your order. Once a parcel has been handed to Aramex, delays caused by circumstances within the courier's delivery network may be outside Good Habit’s reasonable control.
Examples may include:
- Courier network delays.
- Delivery-route delays.
- Operational disruptions.
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.
- Failed delivery attempts.
- Severe weather or other events affecting transportation.
- Unforeseen logistical or operational circumstances.
Where a delay occurs within Aramex's network, Aramex is responsible for the operational handling and delivery of the parcel, and Good Habit will reasonably assist the customer with tracking or escalating the delivery enquiry where possible.
However, nothing in this policy excludes or limits any responsibility or consumer right that Good Habit cannot lawfully exclude under South African law.
4. Delivery Delays Beyond the Estimated 8–11 Business Days
The 8–11 business day period is Good Habit’s stated delivery estimate.
If your order has not arrived after the estimated delivery period, please contact Good Habit so that we can investigate the shipment and, where appropriate, escalate the matter with Aramex.
Customers should allow reasonable additional time where a courier delay or unforeseen event has affected delivery.
If Good Habit fails to deliver within an agreed period, your rights under applicable South African consumer law remain unaffected.
For electronic transactions, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act provides that a supplier must execute an order within the agreed period, or within 30 days where no different period has been agreed. Where the supplier fails to execute the order within the applicable period, the consumer may have cancellation rights under the Act.
5. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information may be provided to you.
Customers are responsible for using the correct delivery address and contact information when placing an order.
If incorrect information is supplied and this results in a failed delivery or additional delivery attempt, this may cause additional delays.
6. Failed Delivery Attempts
Aramex may attempt to deliver your order to the address provided during checkout.
If delivery cannot be completed because the customer:
- Is unavailable to receive the parcel;
- Provides an incorrect or incomplete address;
- Provides incorrect contact information; or
- Fails to respond to delivery communications,
the delivery may be delayed or require an additional delivery attempt.
Good Habit will not intentionally delay delivery and will reasonably assist where possible.
7. Incorrect or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, or if you believe that an item is missing or incorrect, please contact Good Habit as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order number and photographs of the parcel and/or product where appropriate so that we can investigate the issue with the courier.
Nothing in this section limits your rights regarding defective, damaged or unsuitable goods under applicable South African consumer law.
8. Risk During Delivery
Good Habit will arrange delivery of your order through its appointed courier.
Nothing in this policy is intended to transfer away any responsibility or risk that South African consumer law places on Good Habit as the supplier.
Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods to be delivered generally remain at the supplier’s risk until the consumer has accepted delivery, subject to the provisions of the Act.
9. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
Good Habit will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances that are genuinely beyond our reasonable control, including events such as:
- Natural disasters.
- Severe weather.
- Strikes or industrial action.
- Major transportation disruptions.
- Government restrictions.
- Civil unrest.
- Infrastructure failures.
- Widespread courier disruptions.
- Other unforeseen events that materially affect transportation or delivery.
Where such an event occurs, Good Habit will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed and assist with the delivery of affected orders.
This clause does not remove any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Delivery Costs
Any applicable delivery fee will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, delivery charges are separate from the product price.
11. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their delivery information is accurate and complete.
Please carefully check your:
- Full name.
- Street address.
- Apartment/unit number, where applicable.
- Suburb.
- City/town.
- Postal code.
- Contact telephone number.
Good Habit cannot guarantee successful delivery where incorrect or incomplete information has been provided by the customer.
12. South African Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Shipping & Delivery Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.
Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable South African law, the applicable law will prevail.
The Consumer Protection Act requires suppliers, subject to the applicable provisions and exceptions, to deliver goods within the agreed period and at the agreed place.
